Your new job

As a Land and Development Engineer, you will be offered varied and stimulating tasks. You will work in the land and development department, which has a general responsibility for land and housing supply issues in the municipality. We actively participate in the entire community building process from initiation to implementation, write various property-related agreements, and drive exciting transformation projects. In this role, you will act as a project manager within your area of responsibility, participate in detailed planning, conduct land allocations, and prepare calculations for various development projects. Meeting companies, negotiating, and establishing agreements regarding transfers and developments, as well as other agreements, are part of your daily routine. You will also represent the municipality as a landowner in various contexts. The department is generally responsible for municipalities' housing supply, buying and selling land, and developing land infrastructure for all new development projects.

We are looking for someone with a particular interest in development issues such as urban transformation projects, detailed planning, and land allocations. If you have good experience in development processes, project management, and development economics, there is an opportunity to lead larger urban transformation projects.

You will belong to a team within the land and development department consisting of 13 land and development engineers, a development economist, and an administrator. The work is carried out independently with support and assistance from engaged colleagues with broad experience and extensive knowledge in the field.

Your work will involve presenting information orally to politicians and citizens, among others. Therefore, it is important that you feel comfortable speaking in front of different target groups.

Your qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree in surveying, community building, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Solid work experience can replace the educational requirement.
• Good knowledge of planning and building legislation.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
• Driver's license (B).

Meritorious:

• Experience in the community building field, particularly in development processes.
• Experience in project management, preferably within larger urban transformation projects.
• Knowledge and experience in development economics.
• Experience in establishing agreements and conducting negotiations.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Knowledge of property law and property valuation.
